| WILKES-BARRE AREA DIRECTIONS All lessons and classes are taught in the Grice's home, a beautiful 19th century bar. The Grice's are restoring the home, retaining the integrity of the original wood floors, tin ceilings and stained glass windows. The restoration on the smaller of the two performing spaces (shown at left & above) is almost complete. In both spaces, the 11 foot ceilings and wood floors make them ideal for recitals and performances. The beauty of the aged woodwork, intricate ceilings, crystal chandeliers and stained glass, make the space and inspiration for both the student taking a voice lesson or an art class. This space also available for concerts and recitals. |

| LEARN TO SING OR IMPROVE YOUR TECHNIQUE The Grices have many years of experience teaching private voice lessons and related classes at such institutions as the University of Notre Dame, Indiana University (South Bend), University of Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory, East Stroudsburg University and Washington State University. They have had private studios in New York City, Munich (Germany), South Bend (IN), Dayton (OH) and Stroudsburg (PA). The Grices have a vast performing background in opera, music theater and concerts in Europe and Canada and from New York City to Los Angeles in the United States. Their students have been winners of numerous competitions and scholarships and many now sing with major opera companies such as the Metropolitan Opera, Chicago Lyric, San Francisco and in Europe. Others are singing in Broadway productions across the US. High school students from their studios have consistently been cast in leading roles in their high school musical productions. Graduates have been admitted, many with scholarships, to such college programs as Manhattan School of Music, Indiana University (Bloomington), Ithaca College, Cincinnati Conservatory, University of Illinois, Moravian, NYU, Muhlenberg, Wilkes College and Penn State. The Grices teach a bel canto technique which is applicable to all types of literature. Whether it is a professional singer preparing a opera / Broadway role or a high school student preparing for a show choir audition, the Grice's positive, caring approach will not only help them sing correctly, but also to be a success. |
